“Lautanalyse aus dem Klangbild des Wortes <man>, zum ersten Mal aus der Lautplatte gewonnen nach dem elektro-oscillographischen Verfahren von Wilh Doegen (1927)”

The speaker was probably Archibald Cochrane, a Scottish prisoner of war who's voice Doegen recorded in the POW-camp Quendlingburg on June 15, 1917. The recording PK 889 can still be found in the Lautarchiv collection.

The page is part of Wilhelm Doegen's autobiography.

The same plate, as well as a description text by Wilhelm Doegen, can be found in Brandl, Alois: “Lebendige Sprache: Beobachtungen An Lautplatten Englischer Dialektsätze”. In Sitzungsberichte der Preussischen Akademie der Wissenschaften, Philosophisch-Historische Klasse (Berlin: Verlag der Akademie der Wissenschaften/Walter de Gruyter, 1928), pp. 72-84.
