Date of creation: probably nineteenth century (Max Kohl tuning fork: second half of the nineteenth century)

This video was made by Nikita Braguinski at the Media Studies department, Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin, in April 2018. The forks shown here are part of the department’s collection of historical devices, the Media Archaeological Fundus. They bear the following inscriptions: “C1 = 256 Schw. [= vibrations] Max Kohl Chemnitz i/S”; “435”; “512.”
